2017 NBA Mock Draft 3.0: De’Aaron Fox continues to rise; Knicks find their PG

No. 5 Sacramento Kings-  Jayson Tatum (Duke, FR, Small Forward)

Sacramento benefitted the most in the NBA draft lottery by making the jump to number 5 (and by keeping their later pick at 10, but we’ll discuss that later).

Let’s face it, the Kings need talent and time to become anything of a contender again. Insert Jayson Tatum. At 6-foot-8, he can spread the floor and bring defenders out with his great shooting range as well as be a force around the rim.

Tatum has a great flow to his game and I still believe could end up being one of the best players in this draft when it is all said and done. He’d be a fantastic building block for Sacramento.

Tatum won’t make the Kings contenders anytime soon, but would be an excellent building block to stick next to Buddy Hield.
