Cleveland Cavaliers: Two adjustments that need to be made before Game 2
Turnovers are an even more eye popping stat when the other team takes care of the ball well. Golden State only turned over the ball four times. The Warriors shot 20 more times than the Cavaliers (86 Cavs – 106 Dubs), and made 15 more shots (Cavs 30- Dubs 45).
That is a direct correlation with their 20 turnovers. Granted they allowed 14 offensive rebounds as well, but those turnovers turn into higher percentage shots on the other end.
If the Cavs want to be competitive in Game 2, they absolutely have to cherish every possession. LeBron and Kyrie combined for 12 of their 20 turnovers, and they can easily fix that. Look for them to make more of the simple play, and not be so loose with dribble moves.
No more jumping in the air to pass, or spinning so fast the ball gets flung from your body without a defender in front. These two will settle down in Game 2 and make those adjustments.
