Danilo Gallinari, Unrestricted

Here is a player who was a key part of one of the best offenses in the NBA. Galo can stroke it from deep, post up, and drive. A versatile and smart player, who is capable of giving you 18-20 a night, on 44 percent shooting, and 38 percent shooting from deep. He is a great floor spacer and a capable number two option on some teams. Gallinari is also a versatile defender who can defend 3’s and 4’s, and is a good help defender.

The problem is he has dealt with major injuries in the past including an achilles and an ACL. Last year, though, he stayed mostly healthy for him and produced, but now is 28. The Nuggets are looking to go younger and build around Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris. Even though he has a player option, I expect Gallinari to leave.

Prediction: Charlotte – Marvin Williams is heading the wrong way and they need a true stretch 4, plus a secondary playmaker.
