2014 vs. San Antonio

In a redemption year for San Antonio, which brought out a confident Duncan in which he simply said, “we’ll do it this time,” after eliminating the Thunder in six to advance. The Spurs were on a mission to right the wrongs of the previous season and they did just that.

In a gentleman sweep of 4-1, San Antonio reigned supreme in the NBA with their defense and team basketball. Their new found motivation and aggression this time around had them shooting 53 percent from the field and 47 percent from behind the three-point line.

The Heat didn’t stand a chance. Both Bosh and Wade weren’t as helpful in the series as they should’ve been along with the role players.

And James’ ultimate weakness appeared once again: team basketball. Teams with excellent ball movement, especially in the Western Conference, have been his kryptonite. Not much help along with excellent shooting and team ball equates to demise.
