27. Brooklyn Nets select Sterling Brown: SG – SMU

The Brooklyn Nets are the laughingstock of the league. If they picked Sterling Brown in the first round, they’d be laughed at by everyone again. But they don’t care about public perception and neither do I.

In my opinion, Sterling Brown is a first round prospect. He’s not as athletic as his brother Shannon, but he’s more skilled. If developed properly, he could become a starting shooting guard in the league. I like his talent and fit with the Nets.

28. Los Angeles Lakers select Bam Adebayo: PF/C – Kentucky

Bam Adebayo is a great athlete. He has a lot of developing to do before becoming a starter, but the traits are there. He has the size of a power forward but the game of a center, which makes me worry that he’ll become a bust. Adebayo uses his athleticism to help protect the rim.

He’s a solid scorer near the hoop, but doesn’t have any range. If he wants to be a starter, he’ll need to expand his shooting range. Los Angeles could use an energy big, and if they’re patient and develop Adebayo correctly, he could become a starter.
