Portland Moves One Of Their Bad Contracts – Probably To The Nets

The Portland Trail Blazers have three first-round picks in this year’s NBA Draft, but I don’t think they want to head home with three players after Thursday night. Instead, look for the Blazers to try to attach one or two of those first-rounders to one of their big contracts in order to gain more flexibility ahead of the summer.

There are a number of teams that can take on a bad contract in exchange for a first-rounder, but the one team that makes the most sense is probably the Brooklyn Nets. They’re in need of talent and have a ton of cap space.

If the Nets take on a player like Evan Turner or Myers Leonard in addition to a first-round pick or two, it’s hard seeing the Nets not, at the very least, entertaining the move.
