5. Harry Giles, F, Duke
Harry Giles is another one of the bigger boom-or-bust NBA Draft prospects in this class. Because of the three major knee injuries that he’s already suffered, he likely won’t be a lottery pick in this draft.
If he never regains form, he’ll be a high-energy big off the bench for a long time. However, if he does regain his pre-injury explosiveness, he has the potential to be a star and the biggest steal of the draft.
6. De’Aaron Fox, G, Kentucky
De’Aaron Fox has received a lot of praise from the Draft media in the last few weeks. He’s a great talent, but the rumors that he may be taken ahead of Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball give me pause. He’s not as talented as either Fultz or Ball, but he could become an elite point guard if he reaches his potential.
Fox has great size and athleticism, and should become a great playmaker as a pro. His one issue is his inability to shoot the basketball. Fox isn’t a consistent shooter and has a bit of an unorthodox stroke. If he’s able to fix these issues as a pro, he could become the best point guard from this draft class.
