6. Miami Heat (via Magic) – De’Aaron Fox, PG, Kentucky

The Miami Heat make the jump up the draft to snag De’Aaron Fox, who was sliding down the board a bit. In an attempt to snag one of the potential franchise players in this draft, the Heat did have to part ways with Goran Dragic, Josh Richardson and the rights to the 14th pick.
We did have to take on Bismack Biyombo’s contract, but it’s worth it if it means moving up to take a player like Fox.
Fox has issues with his jump shot, but has the mechanics to be a quick fix. In Erik Spoelstra’s development system, Fox should reach his potential rather quickly. Miami concedes to the now for a potentially better future. With a core of Fox, Justise Winslow and Tyler Johnson, the Heat suddenly appear ready to build for the future.
