2017 NBA Draft: Instant reaction and grades from the first round

14. Miami Heat – Bam Adebayo, PF, Kentucky

This is probably the worst pick of the NBA Draft thus far. I don’t understand it at all. With Hassan Whiteside already on the roster, adding a player like Bam simply doesn’t make much sense. They’re practically the same player.

Time will tell how this pick turns out, but on the surface this is bad. It seems like the Heat selected on need instead of best player available, which is not ideal at No 14.

The Heat probably have a ton of more intelligent people in their draft room, but this blogger just can’t see it. Woof.
