NBA’s Most Petty Act

The NBA is a petty place. Westbrook vs KD pettiness was the major headline through the bulk of the 16-17 season. Good clean fun between rivals is always entertaining for the fans and everyone across the league who wants some juicy drama.

Here are the nominees who did it best…

Wizards- Celtics All Black

Towards the end of the regular season, the Wizards had a huge game at Boston. They entire team decided to wear all black to the game to represent Boston’s funeral. The Wizard’s won that game, but then found themselves with their backs against the wall facing elimination in the playoffs at home against Boston. So what did Boston do?

They too wore all black to kill the Wizards. That game didn’t go as planned however. John Wall hits a massive game winning shot and lets the world know what happens when you wear black in “our house”. Epic Pettiness.

Draymond/ LeBron Post-Championship Exchange

This is all so fresh in our minds. LeBron questions Draymond’s…uhhh…stamina.

Then Draymond claps right back with a hairline joke. I love this league. King Pettiness.

Kevin Durant Cupcake

During the regular season KD returned to Chesapeake Energy Arena and played in front of the fans that adored him for eight years. It was emotional Durant admitted, but he got the last laugh with a win, despite all of the cupcake t-shirts that were made for all the fans to wear.

The cupcake was referencing how soft Durant was for leaving OKC to join a team that just beat them in the Western Conference Finals the year before, the Golden State Warriors.

Kevin slammed the door on this petty war with a legendary hat. The cherry on top of an epic first season on his new team.

The award for Most Petty Act this NBA season goes to….

The subtleness just screams KD. It’s exactly how he carries himself and how he balls. He’ll drop the quietest 40 and 10 you’ll ever witness. He’ll end your petty war without even saying a word. A backwards hat to let you know you’re crushed as he walks right by you.

A silent assassin. A Slim Reaper. Congratulations KD, on not only your first NBA Championship, but more importantly, the NBA’s Most Petty Act Award.
