Looking at a few potential landing spots for Danilo Gallinari ahead of NBA Free Agency
Fresh off arguably his two best seasons of his career, Danilo Gallinari is set to hit the free agent market this summer. This past season, Galo averaged 18 points and five rebounds on a career-high 45 percent shooting from the field.
Question is, where will he play next season? We have a few options.
Miami Heat
The Heat have a big man already in Hassan Whiteside, but adding Gallinari to the rotation will be huge for them He adds size, which can be huge for rebounding. He also is a great three-point shooter and can move down the court.

Danilo had a great run for the Nuggets and can be huge with the Heat in the post and midrange department as well.
Minnesota Timberwolves
After adding Jimmy Butler via trade at the NBA Draft, turning around to sign a player like Gallinari would go a long way in adding the necessary pieces to make the playoffs next season.
Galo would be able to play the 3 or 4 and would be almost the perfect running mate for Ricky Rubio (if he stays), Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Washington Wizards
The Wizards have a great backcourt in John Wall and Bradley Beal. They have Kelly Oubre Jr. in at small forward, but Gallinari can give them another three-point shooter. With Marcin Gortat getting older, they are going to need to add another rebounder and Gallinari can be that fit for them.
However, in order to bring in a player like Galo, Washington would have to work a sign and trade or do some substantial salary gymnastics.
Boston Celtics
The Celtics have a great starting small forward in Jae Crowder, Although, if they were to miss out on a guy like Gordon Hayward, adding Danilo Gallinari could be a solid Plan B or C. Boston isn’t a great shooting team, so Galo fits that role perfectly.
