The auxiliary effects of a single variable change in any market are deep and far reaching. The NBA free agency landscape is no different.  

A seemingly inconsequential action such as when Detroit chose to rescind their qualifying offer to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope will have lasting effects throughout the league for years to come.
