NBA Rumors: People close to LeBron James are reportedly confident that Dwyane Wade will join the Cleveland Cavaliers when/if bought out

Earlier this month, it was reported that the Chicago Bulls and Dwyane Wade are expected to work out a buyout agreement in the next few months. Considering all the moves that the Bulls made this summer, it was pretty evident that Wade would eventually be on the open market again at some point in the near future – and before his contract officially expires after the 2017-18 NBA season.

Question is, when will that happen? And, assuming a buyout gets agreed upon, where will Wade decide to sign next?

Well, if you ask anyone in LeBron James’ camp they have a clue. According Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, LeBron’s camp is “fairly confident” that Wade will end up joining the Cleveland Cavaliers when he gets that buyout.

"[via Cleveland.com]As of right now, people close to James are fairly confident that, at some point this year, Dwyane Wade is going to end up on the Cavs."

And this makes a ton of sense. Should Wade hit the open market in a couple months, there are a few options for Wade out there. The majority of them being contenders. Usually, when players get bought out in the middle of the season, they bolt to compete for a championship.

Although, the Wade situation is a bit different. Only because the ex-girlfriend – the Miami Heat – lurk.

The Heat are definitely a real option for Wade. But has there been enough healing from everything that happened last summer? Who knows?

If the time isn’t right for a Wade-Miami reunion, the Cleveland Cavaliers make the most sense on the surface. To be fair, I don’t think we can rule out a move to the Houston Rockets either. He has a strong relationship with Chris Paul, and if Carmelo Anthony finds his way to Houston too, it could be an ideal landing spot.

The Dwyane Wade watch will officially begin once his buyout is official. Although, only expect such rumblings to grow louder and louder.
