9. Scott Brooks, Washington Wizards
When Scott Brooks came into the league as a head coach in 2009, he struggled and only brought the Thunder to a 22-47 record. Since then, he’s been unconscious. In seven seasons after his rookie debut, Brooks hasn’t won less than 45 games in a single season, regardless of talent or location.
The year after his 22 win season, he bounces back and wins NBA Coach of the Year for his OKC Thunder team. He has one NBA Finals appearance against the starving LeBron lead Heat which didn’t end up too well.
Scott has now taken over duties in D.C. where in his first season he lead John Wall and the Wizards to a 49-33 season and were considered legit contenders for a finals bid.
