Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers have done little to improve their team this summer, especially after pretty much being forced to trade Kyrie Irving. With that being said, they aren’t as far away from the Warriors as many may think.
The NBA Finals did end in five games but Game 3 was a game the Cavs should have pulled out, they then went ahead and took care of business in Game 4 and in Game 5 they were close but just didn’t have enough to beat the Warriors.
Trading for a player as dynamic offensively as Jordan Clarkson could be exactly what they were missing. Deron Williams was a complete no show during the Finals and Kyle Korver had a hard time being effective because of his inability to create a shot for himself. Clarkson wouldn’t have any of those issues.
Not only can he get to the basket frequently and knock down mid range shots but he’s also good at getting open looks for his teammates because of his quickness which forces defenders to help whenever he drives to the lane. Clarkson can easily average 15 points per game off any bench. Cleveland sure could use his services when they undoubtedly meet Golden State for the fourth straight year.
