Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder seem to be back to competing for championships, this much was clear when they made the biggest splash of the offseason in trading for superstar Paul George to team up with current superstar Russell Westbrook.

George is no Kevin Durant but he is a star in his own right. Although George was an excellent grab he doesn’t help address the bench issues.

The Thunder’s bench isn’t awful, it’s actually a good one. Enes Kanter can score on just about anyone down low while Doug McDermott will be able to hit perimeter shots and the additions of both Raymond Felton and Patrick Patterson will most certainly help add a veteran presence to this roster.

The addition of Jordan Clarkson, however, would make this team a true threat to the Golden State Warriors. Having an additional scorer coming off the bench at the guard position would give Westbrook a much needed break and would ensure that this team isn’t searching for answers on the offensive end when both Westbrook and George are out of the game.

A Clarkson to Thunder deal seems unlikely, but so was the move for George.
