NBA Trade Rumors: The Milwaukee Bucks have offered Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon to the Cavs in exchange for Kyrie Irving

As the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics continue to decide whether the blockbuster trade centered around Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas will get done, it’s been reported that the Milwaukee Bucks have begun to make things a bit more interesting.

According to ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the Bucks have offered Khris Middleton and Malcolm Brogdon to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving, in the even that Cleveland elects to rescind their deal with the Celtics.

They are expected to come to a decision at some point today.

More from Sir Charles In Charge

"[via ESPN]The Milwaukee Bucks lurk on the fringes of the Irving bidding with an offer centered around Malcolm Brogdon, the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year, and Khris Middleton, sources say. The Bucks have not yet put a first-round pick on the table, sources say, but the bet here is that they would to get the deal done — or if Irving showed any interest in staying in Milwaukee long-term."

Cleveland and Boston are widely expected to finalize the deal, probably after the Celtics throw in an additional late first-round or second-round pick. Although, Milwaukee could give the Cavs something else to think about.

And that’s a win-win for the Cavs.

Not only could Milwaukee’s offer apply pressure on the Celtics to throw in another pick quicker, but it also gives Cleveland a backup plan if Danny Ainge elects to play hardball in negotiations.

Question is, does that Milwaukee offer compete enough with Boston’s? It’s not an easy thing to answer, especially considering how valuable that 2018 Brooklyn first-round pick could be.
