NBA Rumors: Dwyane Wade eyeing one more championship run?
NBA Rumors: As Dwyane Wade eyes his buyout from the Chicago Bulls, is he also looking forward to one more NBA Championship run?
Dwyane Wade is expected to be an free agent in the next few months, once he and the Chicago Bulls come to a buyout agreement. And while there will be a number of teams interested in his services for what’s left of the 2017-18 NBA season, there are three teams that appear to be the “favorites” to land the perennial all-star.
It was reported earlier this week that Los Angeles, Miami and Cleveland are among Wade’s preferred destinations should he accept a buyout.
Although, in an interview Wade expressed his desire to compete for an NBA Championship once again before his career is over.

Translation: Wade probably would like to join a contender when he gets the buyout, which should make the Cleveland Cavaliers the heavy favorites to land Wade once he gets free.
"[via Miami Herald]“First of all, obviously, everyone wants to compete,” Wade said. “It’s no secret. We would all love to compete for a championship at the end of my career. That is one thing I would love to do. I’m not in a position right now to do that, so I can’t talk about what that preference is. Hopefully, one day before I’m done playing this game, I can be back in position to compete for a championship.”"
If Wade wants to compete for a championship one last time before he retires, it won’t be fairly difficult for him to make that happen. Any contender, including the Cavaliers, would take him in an instant.
Question is, would he be willing to take a bench role? That’s what it might ultimately come down to. Wade will be 36 by the time the playoffs begin this season. At that age, it’s going to be increasingly difficult for Wade to play big minutes for any team, much less one that will have the daunting task of keeping pace with the high-powered Golden State Warriors.

In the end, Wade needs to just ask himself what he wants. If playing in the NBA Finals is seriously something he wants to experience again, his decision is pretty simple.
