Will “that Ball boy” Back up His Father’s Proclamation?

Lonzo Ball, the current crown jewel of the Lakers franchise, has some lofty expectations come this season. His father, LaVar Ball, has made a name for himself and his children, Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo Ball. LaVar has run his mouth so much that he has already gotten his son, Lonzo, to be treated like a superstar. LaVar has spoken out and even guaranteed that the Lakers will make the playoffs with his son at the helm of the Laker offense. Let’s see if he was right.

Can Earvin Work Some Magic?

Earvin Magic Johnson has one of the most infectious personalities in the NBA. NBA stars and legends alike have the utmost respect for Magic for his on-court performance as well as the way he carries himself off the court. That alone can attract big-name free agents to a team. Throw in the fact that the Lakers play in Los Angeles, California, and it’s a recipe for success. With free agents such as Russell Westbrook and Paul George, both LA natives by the way, all the Lakers need is a little bit of magic to make it all work.

Can Lakers Sneak into the Playoffs?

The Lakers have been an NBA team since 1948. The LA franchise has been a successful team throughout their entire history. In their years, the Lakers have only missed the playoffs nine times. What makes this astounding statistic even more so, the Lakers have missed the playoffs four seasons in a row. Almost half of the team’s losing seasons have come in the form of those four years. The roster they are rolling out this season is probably the best collection they have had since their playoff-making days. While that is not saying much, the Lakers have their best shot at making the playoffs this season since their last postseason appearance in the 2013 NBA Playoffs.
