Los Angeles Lakers 2017-18 season primer: Can Lonzo bring showtime back?
Player Most Likely To Breakout This Season
Brandon Ingram played alongside D’Angelo Russell throughout his rookie season. D’Angelo Russell does not make his teammates better players. He only averaged 4.8 assists last season and is labeled as a score-first point. Ingram has since been teamed up with Lonzo Ball, an extremely crafty pass-first guard. Lonzo Ball will surely create scoring opportunities for Ingram.

Ingram also looked more and more aggressive as the season went on. He looked great in his lone Summer League contest when he posted 26 points before exiting due to leg cramps. As his rookie season progressed, Ingram looked more and more aggressive each month.
He carried that aggression over to the Summer League and will build on it come October. Ingram has expanded his already lengthy frame, as he has reportedly grown two inches to be 6-foot-11.
How The Season Will End
The Los Angeles Lakers have their best roster since the the 2012-13 NBA season when they last made the playoffs.
Their roster features a lot of young assets, established NBA players in Lopez and Caldwell-Pope, and a seemingly competent head coach in Luke Walton. With Magic Johnson running the show from the top down, the Lakers are headed in the right direction.

However, with a very much improved Western Conference, do not expect the Lakers to break back into the postseason this year.
