As we continue our NBA preview series, we rank every team’s starting 5 heading into 2017-18

An NBA team’s starting lineup is not always its five best players together. However, the starting unit is considered a main component of the team. Some starters play less than bench players many games.

The 12-man roster and playing rotation is ultimately most important in the big picture. All in all, the starting lineup is worth discussing because it consists of five players with the demanding responsibility of being a regular starter.

NOTE: These lineups are only projected and subject to change of opinion by the coaching staff. Some key starters will not be available to start the season. Therefore, the healthy backup will factor into his team’s starting lineup strength.
