28. Sacramento Kings

Projected Starters: George Hill, Buddy Hield, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Skal Labissiere, Willie Cauley-Stein

Possible Starters: De’Aaron Fox, Garrett Temple, Vince Carter, Zach Randolph, Kosta Koufos

The Kings have won less than 35 percent of their games since the beginning of the 2006-07 season. Their roster has constantly been changing over the span. They cut ties with former franchise player DeMarcus Cousins last season and were criticized for receiving an underwhelming package of players (Hield, Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway) along with a valuable first-round pick in return.

Although it could have possibly fared better, the organization appears content with the decision to start anew. Hield, who the ownership apparently thinks prominently of, was acquired as a building block for the future and should be a primary scoring option this season.

Consensus: Although a new era of Kings basketball has arrived, this year’s results may not be much different as there are simply too many heavy-hitters in the Western Conference.
