Ben Simmons wins Rookie of the Year

The Philadelphia 76ers have seen this play before, starring Joel Embiid. A number 1 draft pick being sidelined for his inaugural season and storming back to take the league by surprise. Had he played enough games, there is no doubt that Embiid would be a unanimous ROY winner. Ben Simmons is about to follow his teammate’s footsteps, hopefully leaving the new injury part aside.

The Louisiana State University product has a unique blend of skills. His speed, strength and understanding of the game are one of a kind for a player of his age. In addition, he will find a team that will play to his advantages, with Fultz, Saric, Reddick and Embiid spacing the floor, awaiting for the Australian sensation’s passes.

The sky is the limit for Simmons and this award the first step of many.
