NBA: Ranking every starting shooting guard heading into 2017-18
By Tony Webb
20. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope- Los Angeles Lakers
Caldwell-Pope looked as if he was going to get monster money this offseason, then Detroit traded for Avery Bradley. Caldwell-Pope seemed to not have many suitors after testing free agency until signing a one-year deal with the Lakers.
Caldwell-Pope had a nice start to his season last year, but tapered off after the all-star break. KCP is only 24 and should have a max-contract coming his way if he has a good season with the Lakers.
19. Rodney Hood- Utah Jazz
Utah is going to need someone to step up offensively this year. Gordon Hayward and George Hill averaged a combined 38.8 PPG. Hood battled injuries last season and had a rocky 3rd season of his career. At a career 10.6 PPG, Hood will need to increase that in order to be considered a top shooting guard in the league.
