NBA: Ranking every starting shooting guard heading into 2017-18
By Tony Webb
18. J.J. Redick- Philadelphia 76ers
1,271. That is the amount of made three pointers made in Redick’s career. One of the best spot shooters the game has to offer. After years with the Clippers, Redick joined “The Process” in Philadelphia.
Redick will now take on the role of veteran leader with his new young squad. Redick will still be good for a good 3FG% and knocking down shots when needed, but his offensive numbers might go down this year.
17. Gary Harris- Denver Nuggets
Harris shot 50 percent from the field last year including 40 percent from 3-point range, effectively putting up 14.9 PPG.
To go along with his dead-eye shooting, Harris is a very solid perimeter defender and finishes at the rim very nicely. Even with the Nuggets new acquisition, Paul Millsap and rising star Nikola Jokic, Harris is a secret weapon for Denver and Harris could rise up these rankings easily.
