NBA: Ranking every starting shooting guard heading into 2017-18
By Tony Webb
16. Buddy Hield- Sacramento Kings
Not many high draft picks don’t spend their entire rookie season with the team that drafted the. Buddy Hield is one of them. Landing in Sacramento after the Boogie Cousins trade, Hield went from a developing player to key franchise piece. Hield averaged 15.1 PPG, shot 48 FG% and 42.8% 3FG in his 25 games with the Kings
A small sample size, but Hield is the shooting guard of the future for the Kings and will be asked to put a main part of their offense this season.
15. Dion Waiters- Miami Heat
Waiters had a career resurrection last season averaging 15.8 PPG and shot 39.5% from down town. Even more impressive was Waiters 4.9 APG and a 23.8 assist percentage. Last year was clearly Waiters best season and now that he has his contract from the Heat, he will be looked upon to keep those numbers up.
