Dwight Howard Will Continue His Downward Decline

Once considered the most dominant big man in entire NBA, Dwight Howard now finds himself sitting out of 4th quarters and finding it hard to find a team that actually wants to keep him long term.

The notion that Dwight will return to his old dominant form because he worked with Steve Clifford in Orlando is laughable. Sure, they worked together and Dwight had great success but he was also younger, more athletic and did not have a back procedure. Dwight never really developed a post game or a jump shot.

He instead used his incredible athletic ability to score on his defenders but with his athleticism gone and not coming back he now struggles to score in the paint. He also has never and will never be a good free throw shooter. Sure he can still rebound with the best of the them but every other facets of his game has diminished. Joining a new team will not change that. He will continue his downward trend and quite possibly be traded before the deadline.
