Phoenix Suns fielding Eric Bledsoe trade offers; Knicks interested
NBA Trade Rumors: The Phoenix Suns are fielding Eric Bledsoe trade offers, and the New York Knicks are reportedly interested
Over the last 24 hours, the Phoenix Suns have been trying to put out fire after fire. Although, one thing is for certain – they can no longer hide the truth.
And the truth is that the Suns are a complete mess. Hours after Eric Bledsoe went to Twitter to essentially publicize his desire to be traded, the Suns announced the firing of their head coach, Earl Watson, less than a week into the start of the 2017-18 regular season.
If that wasn’t a mess in itself, now Eric Bledsoe has been sent home and will not be playing in the team’s third game of the season against the Sacramento Kings. Word is that a trade could be coming. Soon.
"[via ESPN]Bledsoe, 27, will not be available for Monday’s home game against the Sacramento Kings, sources said, and rival executives are under the assumption that a trade is looming."
According to Marc Stein, who now writes for the New York Times, the Milwaukee Bucks are one of the teams interested in trading for Eric Bledsoe. The New York Knicks are also another team interested, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski suggest there could be a few others, too.
It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what Bledsoe’s trade market is right now, considering he’s played for the lowly Phoenix Suns over the last few seasons, but there’s no question that there will be a bidding war.
Question is, will the bidding war consist of actual assets or will teams take advantage of this zero leverage pattern that the Suns have taken before.
