Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks seem like another logical destination for Bledsoe, as this is a squad looking to make a deep run in the playoffs this season. Giannis Antetokounmpo looks like a legitimate MVP candidate three games into the 2017-18 campaign, and the addition of a player of Bledsoe’s caliber could thrust Milwaukee into the Eastern Conference Finals conversation.

The Bucks aren’t very strong at point guard, as second-year guard Malcolm Brogdon is more of a natural 2, and Matthew Dellavedova has been nothing short of a disappointment since signing with the team. Bledsoe would fit the defensive mentality that head coach Jason Kidd has worked hard to create since arriving in Milwaukee, while giving this team a solid offensive boost as well.

Finding a trade package for Bledsoe is not as easy in Milwaukee as it is in Denver. Jabari Parker feels like a trade candidate, but he’s still recovering from his second ACL tear in three years. Gauging his value right now is a challenge, so it’s probably best to leave him out of the equation.

As Phoenix is committed to their youth movement right now, the focus must be on any young players the Bucks could send their way. The most glaring option is second-year big man Thon Maker. A raw talent with serious upside, Maker could be another diamond in the rough, as Giannis was, but that’s no certainty. The Bucks would surely hesitate to ship him out of town, but the chance to land Bledsoe may be enough to convince them to do so.

Maker and John Henson for Bledsoe could be a deal that both teams are comfortable with, though I have doubts that Milwaukee would ultimately pull the trigger on any trade involving Maker for fear of his ceiling coming back to haunt them down the road.
