Milwaukee Bucks: Keep Malcolm Brogdon, trade Jabari Parker
There will be teams willing to take the chance
As a former No. 2 overall pick, Parker has the pedigree to entice a team desperate for an influx of talent, and he’s shown the ability to put up points at a somewhat efficient rate in his young career.
Parker and bad money in exchange for Bledsoe and one of either Marquese Chriss or Dragon Bender is enticing, but the Bucks wouldn’t deal Jabari unless they were 100 percent certain of the fit. It’s possible that neither Chriss nor Bender pans out. Having Bledsoe start at shooting guard would also be a risky move, and as noted above, one that could get pricey before long.
The Bulls are desperate for talent, and Parker is a Chicago native, but outside of Lauri Markkanen – who doesn’t profile as the type of long, switchable athlete Milwaukee desires – they have nothing that would entice the Bucks.
Nerlens Noel doesn’t seem to be long for Dallas, and he fits perfectly into the Bucks defensive concept. His lack of shooting is a problem though, as is the fact that he can walk after this year. Noel also sees himself as a starter, and the Bucks are set on Thon Maker as their center of the future. Still, if the Mavs were willing to take on Henson’s deal in exchange for some of their expiring contracts and were willing to throw in a future protected first, a theoretical deal could make some sense.
