NBA Trade Rumors: As expected, the Phoenix Suns are reportedly targeting Malcolm Brogdon from any potential deal with the Milwaukee Bucks involving Bledsoe

If the Milwaukee Bucks are going to land Eric Bledsoe from the Phoenix Suns, they’re going to have to give up one of their young assets.

And according to Arizona Sports the Phoenix Suns would only consider moving Bledsoe to the Bucks if their return is centered around Malcolm Brogdon.

Brogdon is Milwaukee’s second-years standout that took last year’s NBA rookie class by storm, finishing his first year by averaging 10 points and four assists on 40 percent shooting from 3-point range. Four games into his sophomore season, Brogdon is averaging 15.8 points and four assists on 47 percent shooting from the field (50 percent from 3).

Problem is, it’s unlikely for the Bucks to involve Brogdon in any deal for Bledsoe. However, they’d be willing to add Matthew Dellavedova into such deal.

"[via ESPN]“The scuttlebutt is, if the Suns got their way, they’d acquire Brogdon and either veteran big man John Henson or former Suns forward Mirza Teletovic.”Woelfel reports the Bucks prefer to keep Brogdon, but are likely willing to include Matthew Dellavedova in a deal for Bledsoe."

After the emergence of Brogdon last season, Delly was moved out of the starting lineup. This season, coming off the bench, he’s averaging five points and four assists per game. With that said, he’s a quality player in today’s game. If needed, he could be a starting point guard.

The biggest problem that could arise with Phoenix Ok’ing a deal involving Delly is the fact that he has roughly $19 million remaining on his contract over the next two seasons.

And if the Suns aren’t getting another young promising player in the deal, then taking on Delly’s contract doesn’t exactly make the most sense.

A couple other teams to keep an eye on in the pursuit of Eric Bledsoe is the Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers – two teams that likely have more tradable assets.
