3. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics

Stats: 13.7 points, 6.6 rebounds

If there was a silver linning in Gordon Haywards injury, it’s that we get to see more of Jayson Tatum. Tatum has elite upside as a scorer, and has been showcasing just that through his first few games as an NBA rookie.

If you put Tatum on a team like the Suns, he might be averaging more than 20 points per game. He’s a flat-out scorer. He’s averaging nearly 14 points per game on just a little over nine shots per game.

We might be looking at a future superstar. He has all the tools to dominate the NBA for a long time. For now, though, he’s accepted his role on a stacked Celtics team. But this won’t last long. He’s destined for bigger and better things.
