(Where Are the) Bull(s)headed?

To answer one of those questions, right above you. Despite having absolutely nothing to gain besides blowing off some team, teammate Bobby Portis punched teammate Nikola Mirotic in the face, breaking two bones in his face, and giving him a concussion.

It’s still just as crazy to type out as when I first read it.

Now, reportedly, Mirotic prefers for the Bulls to trade him or Portis. Unfortunately for Mirotic and the Bulls, they literally cannot trade him (at the earliest) until January 18th, despite rumors also emerging that Mirotic is willing to waive his no-trade clause.

While I am not in favor of keeping a guy that causes issues in the locker rooms (from what I’ve read, the worst thing that Mirotic did during that altercation was just get in Portis’ face and talk some trash during PRACTICE), Portis needs to go. While I think that Portis can be a very good starting 4 (as evidenced by his 21 point, 13 rebound performance upon return from suspension), he’ll have to try and earn that spot on another team….like the Lakers.
