In this week’s installment of NBA Power Rankings, we explore whether it’s time for the Cleveland Cavaliers to panic

The 2017-18 NBA season has gotten off to a roaring start. There are many storylines that have been at the forefront during the first few weeks. However, there is arguably no bigger one than what’s unfolding in Cleveland.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers have limped out of the gates. They’ve gotten off to an uneven 6-7 start, and have not really shown any signs of promise.

The biggest issue with the team’s start isn’t the fact that they’re 6-7. It’s the fact that it’s pretty clear this team is simply not that great.

Cleveland has an underwhelming defensive rating (ranked 30th by a wide margin), and have shown no real signs of improvement. The only reason this team clings to a bit of hope is because LeBron James. And maybe, that’s just enough.
