18. New Orleans Pelicans

In a put up or shut up year, the New Orleans Pelicans have actually performed OK. I mean, they’re not dominating the Western Conference by any means, but they’re also not terrible. And that’s actually progress compared to how this experiment began last season.

New Orleans still has some self analyzing to do, and don’t exactly have much time to burn. The Pelicans need to figure out if this Boogie Cousins-Anthony Davis frontcourt pairing is a thing to stay. With the trade deadline in a few months, New Orleans needs to conclude whether they’re going to play buyers or sellers.
