Other Possibilities

Vecenie also mentioned the Bucks as a possible destination, but pulling that off would certainly include moving at least one core piece – likely Brogdon, maybe Middleton – as Milwaukee can’t move a first for a while thanks to the Bledsoe trade.

LA would also ask for Thon Maker as a tax for taking back the bad salary the Bucks would need to include to make a deal work.

The wild card here is Jabari Parker. The fit with Griffin would seem to be an odd one, but for a franchise in need of a jolt, taking a flyer on the former number two overall pick might be enticing enough to move the needle.

Out West, no teams looking to win this year or in the near future have a glaring need at center or would consider Jordan a clear upgrade.

Perhaps (again, a Vecenie suggestion) the Blazers would be up for packaging Jusuf Nurkic with some of their wings, but on the Clippers end this would amount to nothing more than moving around deck chairs on a sinking ship.

Barring a team that has no business making a win-now play for this season doing exactly that, it would seem LA’s list of teams in position to make a Jordan deal is a short one.
