NBA Trade Rumors: Multiple teams reportedly have interest in trading for LA Clippers center DeAndre Jordan; will LA trade him?

The LA Clippers are at a bit of a crossroads, and it’s not a good thing. The Clippers have lost nine games in a row and just lost Patrick Beverley for the season after he underwent knee surgery. On the surface, things are only about to get worse.

Question is, at what point is enough for LA? At what point do they decide to blow it all up – they probably should’ve elected to go down that road as soon as Chris Paul decided not to re-sign with the team last season.

If Doc Rivers decides to throw the towel in on this core, or at least some of its bigger pieces, the logical first proverbial shoe to fall is DeAndre Jordan.

Jordan is a free agent after this season and has reportedly (via The Washington Post) has already been the subject of a few trade talks.

"[via The Washington Post]DeAndre Jordan, who can become a free agent after the season, has been coming up in trade conversations, with multiple teams talking potential trades."

Although, it should be noted that the Clippers are not actively shopping Jordan. Yet. Of course, that could change fairly quickly. If the Clippers continue to fall behind in the Western Conference standings, they’re not going to have any other option than to think hard about the construction of this team.

LA decided to pay Blake Griffin big money this past summer. They thought they could build a team around him. Even though they shouldn’t entirely bail on that premise, perhaps they should double think as to whether or not Jordan should be involved with the core moving forward.

If the Clippers wanted to, they could probably move Jordan for a nice draft pick or young prospect. It’s not exactly known what teams would be involved in a potential Jordan trade, but you’d have to think that teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, who don’t have enough bigs, would be involved.

First, though, the LA Clippers need to figure out what they want to do with DeAndre Jordan. It’s either trade him or pay him.
