Golden State Warriors: Let Freedom Ring

Well, if you want to get technical, it’s for Bell to be free and be in the starting five, but you get the idea.

The Warriors are doing quite well despite not playing with three of their starters the past few weeks, but here are the reasons why I think Bell needs to become Golden State’s starting 5.

  • Zaza, for whatever reason, works as a starter for Golden State
  • JaVale would also be a better starter, but he’s only averaging 8.0 MPG this season, lowest on the team
  • Jordan Bell is the long-term answer, and offers a more diverse offensive game than any other center on the roster (unless Kerr starts Steph-Klay-Iggy-Durant-Draymond)
  • The bench then becomes Livingston (when healthy)-McCaw-Young-Casspi-McGee/West/Looney/Zaza?
  • Can rotate in any of the above centers or Cook to spell the older guys

I know – I’m making the Warriors even scarier than they already are, but are we really going to pretend like their only threat is Houston?
