NBA Trade Rumors: The Milwaukee Bucks, in need of frontcourt depth, are reportedly interested in trading for Zaza Pachulia or JaVale McGee

The Milwaukee Bucks traded Eric Bledsoe to address their point guard deficiency a couple months ago. In the process, though, their lack of depth in the frontcourt has taken a front seat.

There’s no question that the Bucks thin frontcourt needs to be addressed between now and the NBA trade deadline, if Milwaukee wants to make some genuine noise in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

The good news for the Bucks is that there will definitely be some bigs on the trade block, with the biggest name being DeAndre Jordan. The problem with that is, it’s going to cost the Bucks something signifiant to land him.

Interestingly, in an attempt to go the cheap route, it’s been reported that the Bucks have interested in Golden State’s JaVale McGee or Zaza Pachulia.

"[via The Athletic]Multiple sources confirmed the Warriors and Milwaukee Bucks have discussed a trade. Nothing is imminent, but the Bucks are on the market for a center and the Warriors are overstocked. The on-and-off conversations between the teams have included the Bucks inquiring about [Zaza] Pachulia and [JaVale] McGee. No doubt, they’ve asked about [Jordan] Bell but that conversation ended quickly."

This is a route that the Bucks can take if they don’t want to give up a first-round pick or one of their young pieces for Jordan. There’s no question that Jordan is the better option, but there could be a bidding war in the months leading up to the NBA trade deadline for him and Milwaukee simply isn’t interested in heading down that road – yet.

McGee only plays roughly eight minutes per game for the Warriors and hasn’t played meaningful minutes for an NBA team since the 2011-12 NBA season. That season, while playing 27 minutes per contest, he averaged 12 points and nine rebounds per game on 53 percent shooting from the field.

Pachulia, another reported target of interest for Milwaukee, is the starting center for the Warriors and played roughly 14 minutes per night.

The Bucks need to add depth to their frontcourt, and taking a flyer on a player like McGee or Pachulia, who aren’t playing big minutes for their respective team at the moment, might not be the worst idea.
