As the new year comes upon us, we dive into 10 New Year’s Resolutions for the top teams in the NBA heading into 2018

No matter how good or a team is, there’s always room for improvement in the NBA. An alteration or change, no matter if minuscule or gargantuan, could completely change the course of a team’s season.

Thus, I have compiled a list of New Year’s resolutions for the league’s top 10 teams heading into 2018.

Boston Celtics: Remain focused

It’s no secret that the Boston Celtics are off to a terrific start in the Kyrie Irving era, highlighted by a 16 game winning streak after starting the year 0-2.

The C’s sit atop the East, with consistent contributions from their entire starting five fuelling their hot start. Brown, Horford and Tatum are all averaging around 14 points per contest, with Kyrie pouring in 24 a night.

These even points averages are a credit to Brad Stevens’ system, with everyone “getting theirs” within the flow of the offence.

With their consistent play on both ends, the only thing in the way of the one seed is Boston themselves. If they remain focused for the remainder of the season and eliminate complacency, they should have it wrapped up.

This is easier said than done, of course. With the best player in the world breathing down their neck, the poise of this young Celtics roster will be put to the test down the stretch of the regular season.
