Golden State Warriors: Use Curry’s absence to your advantage

To no one’s surprise, the Golden State Warriors are atop of the Western Conference. They’ve been their usual devastating selves, with stifling defence and incomprehensible shot making. A recent injury to their two-time MVP could further improve these facets of their game, which is absolutely terrifying.

With Steph out, Golden State’s margin for error decreases, which in turn means everyone needs to slightly elevate their game. This could come into effect later in the year, when they’ll be able to turn it up a notch due to the elevation of their game during Curry’s absence.

The thought of the Warriors being just a little better in the playoffs is pretty worrisome for all involved, as their current level of play makes that feat seem impossible. With Curry out for a while though, don’t be surprised if we see a more cohesive and consistent Golden State team upon his return.

Editor’s Note: He’s back, and looks better than ever.
