Houston Rockets: Trust the offence for the full 48

Houston are off to a terrific start, sitting 2nd out West. However, they’re in the midst of a five game losing streak, after losing just four times prior.

This poor form seems to stem from the lack of trust in the system during stretches of games. It’s all well and good when the three’s are dropping, but when there’s a slight drought, the trust seems to fly out the window. Continuous Harden iso’s ensue, leading to poor shooting on his part and frustration for others around him.

Houston need to live and die with their style of play. When the going gets tough, they can’t go running and rely on Harden to bail them out when the shots aren’t dropping. For the full 48 they must play with speed and fluidity, taking the open shot when it presents itself. It’s what got them the 2 seed, so it’s what will keep them there.
