NBA Trade Rumors: The Utah Jazz are reportedly talking with the Chicago Bulls about a potential Nikola Mirotic trade
If there’s only one player that’s going to be traded at the NBA trade deadline, it has to be Nikola Mirotic. He has made his feelings public earlier this season, and the overwhelming opinion is that the franchise will appease his request.
The question is, where will Mirotic get moved? With a manageable contract, it’s expected for the market for Mirotic to be substantial. Any playoff team in need of a bench punch or offensive help needs to call the Bulls about Mirotic.
He’s been sensational for the Bulls this season, and has been a big part of the team’s recent turnaround.

During his 17 games this season, Mirotic is averaging a career high 17 points and seven rebounds per game. He’s also shooting a career high 49 percent from the field and an absurd 46 percent from 3-point range. With him in the lineup this season, the Bulls are 11-6.
And one team that is reportedly interested in trading for Mirotic is the Utah Jazz. Interestingly, the feeling is mutual, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski noted that Mirotic was “intrigued” with the Jazz.
"[via Salt Lake Tribune]The Salt Lake Tribune has confirmed that Utah is engaged in talks with the Chicago Bulls on a deal that would bring power forward Nikola Mirotic to Utah.Multiple NBA sources say nothing is done on either side. But talks are past the preliminary stage and getting serious."
Mirotic can’t technically be traded until Jan 15, but even that’s an early than expected target date for Mirotic to be moved. The majority of the deals ahead of the NBA trade deadline take place closer to the deadline itself.
Utah has a mediocre scoring bench, but could definitely use depth in their frontcourt. The team is still without Rudy Gobert, who has only played in 18 games so far this season. Plus, if the team elects to move on from Derrick Favors after this season, Mirotic could potentially help with that type of blow.
