The Move: Trading Jonas V for a stretch big

It’s not his fault, but the NBA has changed drastically over the last 2-3 years. So much so that the players like Jonas Valanciunas are simply no longer effective. In his place, the Raptors should target another stretch big – similar to Serge Ibaka.

That’s the type of player that would really be impactful for a team that has the talent of the Raptors.

On paper, this team should be able to hang with the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics in the East. Adding another dangerous big that can score would be that much more helpful, potentially someone like Nikola Mirotic.
