NBA: Predicting the East playoff picture at the midway point of the 2017-18 season

The Indiana Pacers have been one of the NBA’s biggest surprises of the season thus far. After trading their star player Paul George away to the Oklahoma City Thunder over the summer, the expectation was that the Pacers would finish as one of the worst teams in the league.

However, they’ve played like a playoff team for the first half of the season. Specifically, Victor Oladipo has had an amazing season and could get an All-Star nod.
