NBA: Predicting the West playoff picture at the midway point of the 2017-18 season

The  Oklahoma City Thunder continue to have issues this season when it comes to figuring it out. OKC ranks in the top 10 in both offensive and defensive rating, but they have a bad habit of following up impressive wins with ugly losses – and they struggle to close games.

The Thunder should improve as the season goes on, but they won’t be as high of a seed as originally expected.

Prediction: 5 seed
