Utah Jazz

Record:

17-25 (10th in the West)

The Case:

The Utah Jazz have had a rough season but still find themselves just 4.5 games out of the 8th seed. With as much time as Rudy Gobert and others have missed, that is certainly not the worst outcome in the world.

The Jazz have been able to stay relevant, in large part, due to the performance of rookie sensation Donovan Mitchell, who continues to get better with every minute played.

If the Jazz can stay within reach of the 8th seed when Gobert returns then they could have a shot to make a run at the end of the season. It is going to be very difficult for Utah to be one of the top 8 but with the way Mitchell has been playing, the Jazz can’t be written off.
