Detroit Pistons

Record:

22-18 (6th in the East)

The Case:

The Detroit Pistons have been fueled by a bounce-back season from Andre Drummond, who is averaging 14 points, 15 rebounds and nearly 4 assists per game while shooting a career-high 62.4 percent  on free throws.

They have also been one of the league’s most efficient 3-point shooting teams, converting on 38.6 percent of their attempts. The dark cloud that hung over the Pistons for much of last season appears to have lifted, as this year’s team appears to have much better chemistry and a more clear identity.

The Pistons are surely going to miss Reggie Jackson while he is out with a sprained ankle but they should still have enough talent and experience to make the playoffs in a better-than-expected Eastern Conference.
