24. Dallas Mavericks (15-29)

Since Dennis Smith Jr. returned to the lineup a couple weeks ago, the Dallas Mavericks have been much better. Still, they’re one of those teams that is likely to far down the standings to make any such playoff push in the Western Conference.

Which could make the Mavs open for business in the weeks leading up to the trade deadline. Players like Wes Matthews and J.J. Barea could be interesting names to keep an eye on.

Dallas could swap them for future draft picks or younger players. And with Smith Jr. playing better and better, perhaps investing in a few more young pieces around him will pay dividends in the near future.
