Washington bolsters bench

WAS gets- George Hill, Zach Randolph

SAC gets- Marcus Morris, Ian Mahinmi, Chris McCullough, 2nd round pick

Washington is disappointing. Like the Bucks, they should be better than they are. Marcus Morris has regressed, John Wall’s knee is a concern, and they play down to their competition all the time. They are top ten in defense and offense, but it doesn’t feel like it. For god sakes last night Bismack Biyombo had his career high in points in a half.

Once again the bench has been a problem, even though its better than last year. This trade sees them getting two veterans who can instantly help their bench in a win now move. George Hill has looked miserable in Sacramento, and hopefully, a trade to a contender will get him going. Hill can backup Wall or also play alongside him at times.

Zach Randolph has quietly been crushing it with the Kings this year. He would give the Wizards some much-needed scoring off the bench and can play either the four or the five.

For the Kings, this is a trade that gets rid of two players that have no business being there anyway. It will allow more playing time for their young guys to develop. In return, they get two quality frontcourt rotation guys in Morris and Mahinmi plus an intriguing young prospect in McCullough. Most importantly for a team that is rebuilding they get an extra second round pick.
